HTC Trying To Work On A Windows Phone Version Of The One M9 !!

HTC Trying To Work On A Windows Phone Version Of The One M9 !!

HTC Trying To Work On A Windows Phone Version Of The One M9 !!
According to new reports, HTC might have a Windows Phone variant of the One M9 scheduled for launch sometime later this year. It mentions that HTC will not launch the Android and Windows Phone models of the One M9 together.

We can expect the Windows Phone One M9 to break cover by mid-2015, which should give the standard One M9 plenty of time to settle down in the market.

The device should share most of the hardware features as the Android version, so we should only see a change in software like on the One M8 last year.

The bad news were getting out of this report is that HTC might limit the launch of the handset to the US market, which was the case with last years model as well.

Windows Phone is seeing decent traction in the budget and midrange segment. So the arrival of a high end device like the One M9 will certainly spice up the line-up.

But its too early to speculate, as the smartphone isnt expected to launch until later in the year. Considering it wont launch anytime soon, its safe to assume that HTC will launch the device with Windows 10 on board which is expected to bring a multitude of features to the platform.

HTC is yet to comment on these rumors, which is unlikely to change anytime soon given that all the focus is now set on the Android version of the One M9. The Taiwanese manufacturer is also expected to launch a large sized smartphone or "phablet" known as the One M9 Plus during its event next month.

How to One Click Unlock HTC Bootloader

How to One Click Unlock HTC Bootloader

blu-h1
HTC Bootloader Unlock
Hboot, or we may call it Bootloader, is like BOIS to windows. It is the first thing that runs when you boot up your Android device. It packages the instructions to boot operating system kernel and most of them are specifically designed to run their own debugging or modification environment. Basically, Android device is like a hard drive that has several partitions, which holds the Android system file in one and all the app data in another. And for all these partitions, Bootloader (or Hboot) serves as a security checkpoint that is responsible for checking and initializing the hardware and starting software. It can also be used for flashing official software releases.
Most bootloaders are locked, as well as encrypted, including the developer-friendly Nexus devices. Manufacturers usually lock the bootloader to make sure you stick to their Android OS version specifically designed for the device. With a locked bootloader, it is virtually impossible to flash a custom ROM and other forced attempts, which would void warranty as well as end up in bricks.
Nexus devices and a couple tablets can be easily unlocked with a single command. Others, however, couldn’t be unlocked with just “fastboot oem unlock” command. HTC, as we know, has provided an official tool that will unlock the bootloaders on its devices. Other manufacturers have done or try to do the same thing.
The beauty of unlocking your bootloader is that you can install custom firmwares, recoveries, and ROMs without the need for HTC to officially push them out.
Today i’m gonna show you how to Unlock HTC Bootloader in a One-Click way using freeware software, HTC Bootloader Unlock.

Quick Picks
  1. Help you to unlock the Bootloader first so that you could root and flash any custom recovery.
  2. Make it safe and simple.
  3. Possible to re-lock it.
  4. Have it done in an official way.
  5. Support as many HTC devices as possible.
  6. Automatically retrieve unlock code and everything.
Note: Unlocking bootloader voids your warranty and also completely wipes out the internal memory including contacts, messages, applications, etc.

No Logo In Front For HTC M9 !!!

No Logo In Front For HTC M9 !!!

HTC One M9 will not have the logo bar on the front and will feature redesigned speakers: Report

No Logo In Front For HTC M9 And Will Feature Redesigned Speakers: Report

  • HTCs upcoming flagship, the One M9 is expected to break cover in March. In the meantime, multiple leaks have told us what to expect from the smartphone. However, subsequent reports seemed to suggest that the leaks and images of the devices were nothing but decoys deliberately planted by HTC to keep the actual device a mystery. This is making more sense now if this new revelation is anything to go by.

  • Reports indicate that HTC is looking to ditch the company logo on the front, which is located below the display panel. This logo combined with the black bar surrounding it takes up a lot of space and the manufacturer will finally get rid of it. It is possible that the logo will be relocated near the speaker grill on the bottom.

  • The report also mentions that HTC is looking to improve the design of the BoomSound speakers on the One M9. In the previous two iterations of the One flagships, the design of the speakers have been very identical, so it makes sense for HTC to change that.

  • HTCs smartphone speakers have been touted to be the best in the business, so we dont think that will change with the One M9. But if the company can somehow improve the design of the speakers while keeping the performance unhindered, customers and fans surely wont complain.

  • Rumors have suggested that the HTC One M9 is packing a 5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 810 chip, 3GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage, a 20.7MP camera, a 4MP front camera and Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 5.0 UI.

HTC Desire 820 Full Review !!

HTC Desire 820 Full Review !!

HTC Desire 820 review: Gives You The Big Impression

HTC Desire 820 Review

HTC has often relied on its prowess in the design department to strut out award winning products like HTC One and HTC One M8. But good looking phones dont really translate into more profits, and who else than HTC can validate the point for us. The company has slowly but gradually realized its one-dimensional strategy will no longer work, and this is how the latest Desire series made its way to the market.

Were talking about the Desire 820, which was launched in 2014 and deemed as the first device to pack Snapdragon 615. Priced at around Rs 21,000 the phone has intense competition right now.

What is it?
HTC Desire 820 is companys first smartphone to pack Snapdragon 615 octa-core CPU. The phones built is reminiscent to most of HTC mid-range offering. You get 4G LTE support as well. Sized at 5.5-inch, Desire 820 comes across as a phablet that is easy to use and handle.

Who is it for?
The fact that HTC is known for making solid phones should help its case. As for who should really have an eye on Desire 820? Anyone with the urge to take the phablet plunge, comfortable moving away from Samsung and Nokia, and willing to spend over 20k on a well-packaged phone, will like owning this device.

Design
Desire 820 is a giant-looking phone (for its size) with comparatively big bezels on the side, virtual buttons on the bottom and peculiar coloured borders. You might or might not like the make of Desire 820; as the body finishing is plastic which is glossy in nature.

Its got a unibody design wherein the back panel is non-removable; but having said that, at 7.7 mm its pretty slim for a giant.
Youll find the phone bulging out of your pockets and fairly visible to any passerby.

The SIM slot is available on top-left side and right next to it is the slot for extra storage card. The power and volume buttons are placed on the right side for easy access.

Only if the blues could have been avoided; some might like it (mostly women will), but some might really feel the touch up is attracts too much attention.

Display
Desire 820 sports a 5.5-inch display with 1280x720p resolution and offers Corning Glass 3 protection, aiding rough and tough usage. Now, this is where HTC could have done better with the overall quality. For similar price point, youre getting the OnePlus One with full-HD display and the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 4 will offer the same. So, why cant HTC improve on display aspect? That said, we like the display quality which just about manages to impress us with its viewing angles and colour reproduction; neither too heavy nor too light on the eyes. The big form size helps you in watching movies, play games and surf web on-the-go without much fuss; outdoor visibility didnt bother us much either. However, for this price we expected more from HTC.

Hardware
It packs the latest octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU with 2GB RAM and has16GB storage, which can be expanded further up to 128 GB, on offer. The phablet has been equipped with a 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras. With dual-SIM connectivity on offer, you can make use of 2G/3G and even 4G LTE (whenever it is available) in addition to which you get GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB among others. (Note: The phone supports only nano-SIM, so get yourselves a SIM adapter before you go ahead and buy the phone.)

How does it perform?

We really wanted to see was if the new 8-core chipset can withstand daily abuse and still offer performance efficiency. Much to our delight, it didnt disappoint and the phone makes full merry owing to it. No heating, no major lagging issues sighted and managed multi-tasking of all proportions with utmost ease. Now thats something youd really want from a phone these days and after many debacles, HTC has finally found the right match. Our shout goes to Qualcomm for delivering quality, stable chipset that phone makers can truly rely on for devices.

PCMark (Work)3,3383,2033,572

Did we come across any major hiccups with the phone? Not something thats going to bother you on a regular basis, but still be ready for some odd lapses in stability that shouldnt pose much of an issue.

Camera
HTC has decent shooters in the high-end segment, but can they bring the same magic to the lower rung as well? Somehow, we managed to like the phones camera both; daylight and low light and for this pricing, it makes for a decent option. Daylight images were crisp, detailed but loses colours for some strange reason. And on the low-light front, without impressing heavily with shades of noise visible and blur images (part of low light with most phones).

Will it last long?

HTC Desire 820s battery impressed us the most (not something that really adds up to being good?). With normal usage, the phone manages to last for over 18 hours with heavy-to-mid usage and thats decent for a big size phablet. With such numbers, Desire 820 falls in the OnePlus One segment with consistent battery life that will last you for more than a day and half while using normally.

What do we have to say about it?
HTC Desire 820 is a well-made (albeit with glossy plastic body) device. We liked its slick interface, performance, camera quality and not-so-bad battery life. But do you pay upwards of Rs 22k for this? Not right now atleast, you have a similar specd product Yu Yureka selling for less than 10k and thats good too. The only thing that might incline you towards opting for this device is the brand name; its reputation for building quality devices; and the fact that theres no flash drama to buy it. Enough said, buy it if you really need a big device with big life.

HTC Roadmap Puts One M7 will Receive Android 5 0 Lollipop

HTC Roadmap Puts One M7 will Receive Android 5 0 Lollipop

htc_one_m8_generic_twitter.jpg

  • A day after beginning the rollout of the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS update for the HTC One (M8) Developer Edition and unlocked version of the handset, a leak indicates the update will reach the One (M7) next. The Taiwanese firm had already rolled out the update to One (M8) Google Play Edition versions last month.

  • Notably, the next set of HTC handsets expected to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update was said to be the carrier-based HTC One (M8). However, HTC for some untold reason appears to have chosen the original HTC One. The leak from Vietnam (viaGSMArena) indicates the update for the HTC One (M7) will be rolled out by Q1 of this year.

  • While the HTC One (M7) carrier-based handsets might be the last ones to receive the OS update, as they need the carriers approval before rolling it out, HTC in December tweeted that, "Were still on track to update carrier versions of HTC One M7 & M8 within 90 days as well. More news on Unlocked and Dev editions soon!" This, taken together with the leak, could indicate that the Google Play Edition, Developer Edition and the unlocked version of the One (M7) are likely to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipopupdate before it reaches the carrier-based versions.

htc_android_lollipop_update_roadmap_htcviet1.jpg

  • The leak further points out four recent handsets namely HTC One (E8), Desire Eye, One (M8 Eye) and Butterfly 2 to receive the update in the second quarter of 2015. The third-quarter, as shown in the piece of data, includes most number of handsets. The leak says Q3 will see Android 5.0 Lollipop update reaching the HTC One Max, One (M7) Dual-SIM, Desire 816, Desire 820u, One (M8) Mini, One (M8) China and One (M8 Eye) China. HTC in Q3 and Q4 together is said to bring Android OS to the One (M8) Mini unlocked,Desire 610, Desire 820s, Desire 510, and One (M7) Mini.

  • HTC, along with the Android update, is likely to roll out the latest Sense UI as a part of the OTA update. However, HTC has not yet confirmed an update for any of the handsets except the HTC One (M7) and One (M8) devices. It will also prove to be a challenge for the firm to roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop to such a large number of smartphones this year.
