No Logo In Front For HTC M9 And Will Feature Redesigned Speakers: Report

  • HTCs upcoming flagship, the One M9 is expected to break cover in March. In the meantime, multiple leaks have told us what to expect from the smartphone. However, subsequent reports seemed to suggest that the leaks and images of the devices were nothing but decoys deliberately planted by HTC to keep the actual device a mystery. This is making more sense now if this new revelation is anything to go by.

  • Reports indicate that HTC is looking to ditch the company logo on the front, which is located below the display panel. This logo combined with the black bar surrounding it takes up a lot of space and the manufacturer will finally get rid of it. It is possible that the logo will be relocated near the speaker grill on the bottom.

  • The report also mentions that HTC is looking to improve the design of the BoomSound speakers on the One M9. In the previous two iterations of the One flagships, the design of the speakers have been very identical, so it makes sense for HTC to change that.

  • HTCs smartphone speakers have been touted to be the best in the business, so we dont think that will change with the One M9. But if the company can somehow improve the design of the speakers while keeping the performance unhindered, customers and fans surely wont complain.

  • Rumors have suggested that the HTC One M9 is packing a 5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 810 chip, 3GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage, a 20.7MP camera, a 4MP front camera and Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 5.0 UI.
