As the mobile phones reach to all and sundry in the country, so is the mania is sweeping across Pakistan about the search of boys about mobile numbers of girls in Karachi Lahore Islamabad and other cities and towns of Pakistan.

Mostly boys are looking for cell numbers of girls in hostels in big cities like Lahore and Karachi or Rawalpindi so that they could strike friendship and go on dating easily. This is amazingly crazy mania everywhere and with the advent of social media, this has only increased.

Over the years, we have seen that this quest has only increased. We have witnessed that even some people have been selling the numbers quite openly online without any fear. We firmly believe that this is very wrong and unethical and a total breach of privacy.

This is high time that the authorities should look into this. The telecom industry also needs to enable some privacy measures to ensure that their customers don’t get harass on phone just because of their gender. Not sure whats the policy out there but I am pretty sure that laws are there and victims should approach the authorities.

So Pakistani girls don’t suffer in silence and take action and speak up about it.
